Material testing

In cooperation with certified material testing laboratories, we determine the material properties of steel such as strength, toughness, ductility and hardness.

The results are used in our analyses to describe the material and become part of the strategy in the optimisation of the material selection and/or in the damage analysis.

A special feature is the performance of fracture mechanics and special tests ( in agreement with customer wishes and requirements). We develop new tests and, in cooperation with the Steel Institute of the RWTH Aachen, we are able to conduct these tests promptly.
